Dr. Charles A. Booth
Dr. Charles Booth, Chief Research Scientist for The Booth Family Archives, performed at Puppet Playlist.
The Booth Family Archives, an archival project started originally in Fountain City, Indiana, but now with headquarters in Providence RI, collects, sorts, and plays hard-core paleo-acoustic old-time and hot jazz tunes. Dr. Charles A. Booth, Chief Research Scientist for the Archives, has researched hot jazz and the banjo for nearly 5 years, plumbing the depths of our common heritage for "tunes" of unusual quality, and is pleased to be able to offer the preliminary results of his experiments. Dr. Booth also works in co-operation with Tik Tok Laboratories, another research initiative based out of Providence.
