Marta Mozelle MacRostie

Marta Mozelle MacRostie has appeared in all but one Puppet Playlist. She also performed with Sinking Ship's ensemble at the Voice 4 Vision Festival 2009.

Marta is a puppeteer, puppet builder, props master, theater educator, and jazz vocalist. She studied Puppetry and Music at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. While a student, she spent a semester on exchange in the University of Connecticut's Puppetry Arts Program, and a semester in Spain interning with the puppet company, Los Titiriteros de Binéfar. She is also a repeat alumnus of the O'Neill National Puppetry Conference in Waterford, CT. Marta moved to NYC in the winter of 2008, and has been working as a puppeteer with Chinese Theatre Works since. In the summer of '09 she designed and built puppets for Handcart Ensemble's Off-Broadway production of Homer's Odyssey. Recently, she was a marionette operator in The Devil You Know, at La MaMa, directed by Ping Chong and designed by Phantom Limb Company. Her own short puppet works have been seen around town at various soirees, but the one that holds a special place in her heart is Puppet Playlist. THANK YOU Sinking Ship.
